A sixty-six year old man, who authorities are not releasing his name, was in recovery after a surgery when his wife, Rosemary Vogul, injected feces filled liquids into his IV on Thursday. They were alone and the IV monitor rang a warning alarm and was arrested. She is charged with attempted first-degree murder and vulnerable adult abuse. Her husband is expected to survive while he recovers. Vogul is actually a registered nurse and a hospital employee at one point. "This is the first that I've heard where fecal matter has been injected into an IV system," said Sgt. Joe Favazzo. Police said that when the IV alarm rang, the hospital staff rushed in and found Vogul messing with her husbands IV. The staff found brown substance in the IV and removed it from Vogul's husband's arm as quickly as possible. Vogul tried to drain the fluid into a trash can but a nurse interposed. When they checked Vogul's purse, there were three more syringes of that liquid, two were simply the fluid and the third one had fecal matter in it. Police did not figure out the motive for Vogul attempting to murder her husband. Seeing this post was repulsive. One cannot fathom why a person would do this to their own husband. The upsetting part is that he was sixty-six and in recovery after a surgery. He was hoping to be safe and healthy after he recovered but only to find out his wife had injected feces into his bloodstream to kill him.
Phenomenal work, Mary! The title of the entry was eye-catching, and served as a great grabber. There were minor phrases that could use an edit, like, " who's name authorities are not releasing" instead of the original sentence, but, other than that it was awesome! It was amusing, saddening, and mysterious all at once.
ReplyDeleteYour title is the perfect word to describe this article. It is so nasty! That woman must have been crazy to do something so unheard of and disgusting. I wonder what made her want to do something so odd. The good news is that the man is expected to live. Hopefully the police will get to the bottom of things. Good article choice!
ReplyDeleteReading the title, confusion, disgust, pity, and curiosity were only a few of the many reactions I had. Out of all the ways to kill a person, injecting the IV with feces is what one would decide? Making the matter worse, there is no clear motivation as of now, possibly leading to the assumption that the woman may just be crazy.
ReplyDeleteThe title is the same exact words that would come to one's mind while reading this article. One would not be able to say if this is a weird, disgusting, or a cruel way of killing someone. Inserting feces into her husband's IV after he is trying to recover from a surgery is simply torturing the man to his death. Fantastic job on your blog although it was quiet disgusting.
ReplyDeleteIt is extremely difficult to put into words my opinion of this article and write a comment. This descriptive and vivid article is absolutely disturbing, disgusting, gruesome and traumatizing. Who in the right mind would ever want to harm their husband in that manner? Perhaps the wife is in more need of care than the husband. One will never know…
ReplyDeleteWhat a crappy situation to be in! It is curious to me, how the wife of a sixty something man did not just leave him. I do, however, have a theory. These two people, this couple, is a couple that has come from space. These extraterrestrial came because human feces is the most delicious type of feces in the entire universe. It is nexassary to survive from it for these aliens. These aliens were unfortunately caught trying to "eat." The couple will soon be transported to Area Fifty One. Good job Mary!
ReplyDeleteIt takes a twisted serial-killer type of mind to horrifically murder one's husband with creepy feces insertions of poison. Hearing such cases really makes me question humanity and how it gets lost sometimes. Mary's successfully descriptive blog serves as a wake up call to the world we live in. If the wife wanted a divorce so bad, she could of just said so instead, yeezus!
ReplyDelete"Ew" indeed. That word was the exact response I made after reading this disturbing story. How sick can one be to not only have the desire to kill their own husband, but accomplish this task by mixing his IV with feces. The man was barely recovering by a surgery and instead of receiving love and comfort from his wife all he received was a murder attempt from her. At least they caught her before anything fatal happened to the poor man.
